Godrej Properties has expanded its footprint in Maharashtra with the acquisition of a 75-acre land parcel in Nagpur for a new residential project expected to generate around ₹755 crore in revenue. The development will primarily feature residential plots, offering buyers access to one of the region’s fastest-growing real estate markets.
In a regulatory filing on Friday, the company announced that this acquisition has helped it surpass its ₹20,000 crore annual new business development target for the current fiscal year. In real estate, new business development refers to securing land parcels—either through direct purchases or partnerships—for future projects.
The Nagpur project marks Godrej Properties’ third land acquisition in the city in the past four years. The development will offer an estimated 1.7 million sq. ft. of saleable area.
Gaurav Pandey, MD & CEO of Godrej Properties, said the city continues to gain prominence as a hub for infrastructure and industrial growth, driven by improved connectivity and rising demand for housing.
This announcement follows the company’s recent purchase of 30 acres in South Bengaluru to develop a large township with projected revenues of about ₹3,500 crore.
Godrej Properties remains one of India’s leading real estate developers, clocking property sales worth ₹29,444 crore in 2024–25. The company’s pre-sales rose 13% in the first half of the current fiscal year, and it remains confident of meeting its ₹32,500 crore sales bookings target.
